So about that 699lb weight limit of our car....

How serious is it?

I never noticed it until today, when I was reading the label for tire pressures and saw the warning.

I've definitely exceeded this limit before. Had a four hour road trip up to Binghamton NY with 4 of my friends. So 5 of us total in the car with bags in the trunk. Just our body weight alone was 735lbs (figured it out with them today).

So uhh.. should I avoid doing that? LOL

it just means if you exceed that limit, your car won't handle like it was designed.

Hmm. Okay thats not so bad. Had no trouble going 80-100 on the emptier roads upstate. I'll avoid going nuts with that much weight in the future then.

Where do I sign up for this luxury cruise? Pics or GTFO.

I wouldn't sweat it. You didn't break anything except your passengers.

Covered the faces of my friends for privacy LOL.

I'm 205, other front seat was 195. The three in the back only add up to bout 335.

Seems like the one stuck in the middle would be the least happy.

She actually claimed to be very comfy... Very odd.

Halfway through the ride, she did end up stretching her legs out to the front passenger seat and almost laying down though.

But anyway, gonna try to avoid having rides like this in the future. Wasn't comfortable (or safe) for any of us after a while. Never have I ever sat up so straight while driving lol.

That my friend, is amazing that you managed to fit FIVE people in the car. I would imagine that the person in the middle must've been at least uncomfortable at some point.

I mean this in the most non racist way possible....

That's what I thought when I read your post, then I saw the OP posted below yours and suspicion confirmed!

edit: Even still the OP said no one was comfortable...so there you go. Lesson is...treat this car like it's a two seater and you'll be golden.
