Besides that, you might do better with partial throttle to get your rear tires to hook up quickly then give it the beans.

Also, shifting technique plays a big part too. Gently push the shifter towards the next gear (not hard enough that it goes to neutral) then kick the clutch to get the shifter to move to the next gear. This is a very quick shifting technique. You can also try powershifting which is the same technique except that you keep your right foot flat on the gas while you shift. Note it is extremely hard on your car and you might break something but it's the fastest way to shift.

Finally, better tires are a good idea. I know PSS has good lateral grip but no idea about traction. They're a fairly hard compound so I doubt it's great. Something like RE71r will probably hook up better but I honestly know next to nothing about drag tires.
Any new Track updates????

Drop tires down to 15 to 20 psi and drive thru the water onto dry pavement burn them until they smoke let off brake during burn out half throttle burn out until it hooks then stage. The perfect launch you will be scrubbing the tires thru first gear if they do spin it shouldn't more than 5 ft
Like this

I can launch at 7800 rpm on drag radials and pull a 1.8 60ft time doing this method just takes practice.
As i said before those na times are awesome

Followed some of your advice and was able to improve my 60' by ~.15 which dropped me down to nearly a 13 flat. Was like my sixth run so I stopped after that. also hit a couple 13.1xx and 13.2xx.
Not sure when I'm going back so don't know if 12s will ever happen. We'll see.

3/10 is a awesome gain from just changing how you do things. That's something to be proud of seriously, don't let anyone tell you different.
You started needing over 3/10 to hit 12s now you need .024 thousandths. You could get that by taking the floor mats, owners manual ect. out of the car, I assume the spare and jack are removed. Or even burning some gas out of the tank. .023 is less than a eye blink. less than 1 flat foot speed shift. It is a mid 12s ride. PM me when you have time maybe I can help. I need to know what the car did.

Has anyone beat 12.89 on a sprintex 210 kit yet?

on street tires and without significant weight reduction that's probably about the limit although I'm going again this Wednesday to try to hit 12s myself so I'll update my time later. The other guy and I both had flexfuel and small pulley so we should be making similar power (my guess ~280-290 rwhp) and maxing out the kit.
With slicks or possibly drag radials there should be no problem hitting somewhere around 12.5-12.7 with the kit. But that's pretty much going to be the best I think without taking weight out.

I ran that on all season tires so i think I could see very low 12s or even 11s with a slick.

That would be fantastic but 11s would be a big stretch imo. With a proper drag setup (suspension/tires) I could possibly see low 12s happening.
Of course if you could prove me wrong that would be great that way I have something to shoot for myself.

What size rims are you using I was thinking 17×7.5 front and 17×9 for the rear. Is 265 35 17 a good rear tire size

Good and Bad Day!
So I finally got in my new Hoosiers DOT Drag Radials V. 2 (pretty much slicks) in 245/45/17. Mounted them on some cheap 17 x 8 rims. Took them to the track last night and they are absolutely amazing.
Mods are: Sprintex 210 intercooled kit - 69 mm pulley, airaid intake, flex-fuel tuned by delicioustuning. Revworks headers, invidia overpipe, front pipe, and Q300 catback.
Before the hoosiers I had a hard time launching the car. pretty much had to launch below 3k rpm to hook with the street tires I had on before (265/35/18 pss). Was hitting 12.9xx - 13.1xx.
I decided to launch at 4k rpm with the hoosiers. 1st run - 12.653 @ 108.97 / 60' 1.920.
They hooked so well there was no spin and the car still bogged down
2nd run: 4.5k rpm - 12.678 @ 110.30 / 60' 1.864. Same issue as 1st run.
3rd run: 5k rpm launch. I am #33 right side.
Car felt very quick out of the hole. Was amazing. nearly hit 7s in the 1/8. Had just a tad of wheel spin but tires hooked after a few feet and I flew.

The bad:
Was about to call it a day and wait but decided one more. why not?
4th run: 5.5k rpm launch - dnf. As soon as I dumped the clutch really loud pop out back. Car sat in place and didn't go anywhere. had to be pushed off to the side.
First thought was driveshaft or differential. Ended up being driver side cv axle. I completely snapped it. broke at the hub end. You know what they say. Gotta pay to play. Will be ordering Driveshaft Shop 600 hp rated axles. hopefully can get them in next week and installed by next weekend. @FRS Justin @Dream20b

I bet you could get a 1.6 out of your 60' and nock it down to 12.2 or 12.1

Also what did you race

yeah that's what I thinking but I won't be racing for a couple weeks probably. I didn't think the axles would be that weak.
honestly the 12.460 wasn't the best. I could tell right away there was still a lot of improvement left in there so you were right. low 12s is doable

I raced a brand new 2016 v6 mustang.
