You've probably answered this somewhere, but why no BBK? You specifically track your car, so it seems like a natural application.

Could I use more stopping power and thermal capacity? Sure. Do I feel like the car needs it right now enough to justify the cost? No. I got a great deal on the cooling kit and I have no issues paying $50/rotor and running race pads. I understand that a BBK's consumables are more cost efficient over time for a track rat like me, but I'm still very satisfied with the braking performance and consistency when I'm pushing the OEM gear hard on track considering the way I've prepared it. I'm really happy that these cars can be made to be so unique despite how new they are. There's pretty much options for everything you'd want to change! Keep up the excellent progress. |

Bypassed the coolant lines going into the throttle body earlier this afternoon. Easy mod that only took a few minutes with some pliers and some shop towels.
Went out for a test run and monitored IAT with the Torque app. Temps seemed about the same when idling and in stop and go traffic but they did seem lower when cruising in 74 degree ambient; the car was peppy and power felt a little bit more consistent, not sure yet if it's placebo effect. The IAT is measured at the MAF sensor so it's pretty inconclusive until I can get an IAT reading at the TB. I'll leave it bypassed since I don't have to worry about it being cold enough to freeze up the TB here. Last edited by ATL BRZ; 03-10-2014 at 09:28 AM. |

Credit to @stevo_12v for the suggestion. He may have more empirical data on IATs since he's been extensively modifying his intake to lower them. Last edited by ATL BRZ; 03-10-2014 at 09:28 AM. |

You are the only person other than myself that I have seen do that. Nice work.

Obligatory
My Whiteline top mounts gave me enough clearance by pulling the whole front strut assemblies back for negative camber. |
