Speeding is an issue in various parts of Alameda, yes. Most of Alameda is 25mph which I try to follow most of the time.

Mainly I just posted that because I constantly have people in SUVs and other bullshit riding my ass when I'm going the 25mph speed limit in Alameda.

Then, they will zoom around me at the earliest opportunity and do a fly by.

Just amuses/annoys me that they get all pissed that I'm not driving "fast enough", yet I guarantee they wouldn't have a chance in hell at keeping up with me on Mines Rd. @MisterSheep knows...

I completely stopped caring about people riding my ass when I'm going the speed limit. In fact, I actually let off the gas and purposely go slower until they back off.

That's how most asshats are. Ride you, and the second a curve comes along, they fall far behind. Happened to me with an asswipe in an Escalade tailgating me super close going towards an on ramp. Well, by the time he got on the freeway, I was so far ahead of him. This was also in my Yaris lol

Yep, my very first speeding ticket was not from a high octane blast on the freeway or an adrenaline fueled canyon carving session but in Alameda going 40mph down Otis 1 month after I moved there. What a lot of people don't know is that all of the island is strictly 25 mph since it's mostly residential. Alameda PD doesn't really have much to do...

I've stopped caring. The more they tail gate, the slower I go

My favorite part about that quote is it can be any speed you want:
"Stay Alive, Drive 75" etc. That's the one I abide by...

What I don't get is why people bother speeding through residentials. It's not like they're going to get to their destination that much quicker. Back when I used to live in Sac, I would see people speeding through residential and business areas, and I'd stay at the speed limit, only for us to arrive at the same stop light.

Also got another Bazooka bass tube to put in the Yaris (the 100w one this time compared to the 50w one I put into the FR-S). I tested it in the FR-S since the wire harness was already in place, and I can hear and feel a difference between the two tubes. I got the 100w for the Yaris since there are no woofers in the Yaris, and only 4 speakers. Once I get a headunit, I plan on reducing the low end frequencies and just have all the bass come from the Bazooka. That way, the four speakers can just focus on producing mids and highs.
Damn it. I wanted to listen to your bazooka tube and had the chance at Summer Kickoff...

Lol. You were pretty busy. The next meet we are both at then.

Just from testing it out tho, I know I can't use the 100w in the FRS since the F50 dash cam will constantly just think there's an incident happening. That already happens now with the 50w one if I'm past 34 on the volume.

A radar gun reading is just more data, right?

I've been passed by people in my apartment complex parking garage It worked great for me because I didn't have to wait at the exit gate. I could just roll through behind them after they had to wait.

SF residential neighborhoods (like, not in the city proper but the "suburbs") are awful for this. Some streets are so narrow so that if people are parked on both sides then there's really only about 1-1.5 car widths in the middle. So of course cars zoom through at 30-35mph. Whenever I drive in an area like that and see a car coming I try to get as far to the side as possible to wait while thinking "please don't hurt my car..."

Idiots.
