I thought the same thing when I first opened the door and I was actually surprised to see it there.

NOTE: This was a pre-production car at the show. So the next time I get a chance to talk to a rep or see the finalized model of the car (premium) I will post info or pics of that.

Well scion's site shows leather door cards without mention of "pre-production model shown" unlike Subaru's site. Was never doubting that the BRZ premium gets them, just a little surprised, but a good surprise.

I've sat in another Premium. It also had the leather on the door cards

From what i understand the only leather/alcantara in this car is the seats.
Pretty much everywhere ive seen in the car has leather in places where it would go, doors, handles, door cards (and the GT86 limited gets a few additional spots of leather like the rear transmission tunnel hump, and the 2 sides of the center console)

So Scion gets the standard cloth seats.
BRZ Premium has that kind of rough textured cloth inserts in the seats.
BRZ Limited will have Alcantara/Leather seats.

While the limited would be nice to get, adding $2K to the price of this car almost puts it into another category. I am pre-ordering a premium, and was thinking about adding in the fog lights and spoiler, but then realized it already added $1K to the price, at that point I might as well get the limited. I'm keeping it as basic as possible and plan on adding fog lights myself later.

Love the pics!

I know...all I want from the limited is the push start...but I think I'd regret it if I went to the limited and paid about 30 grand, a little steep when it's hitting the 30s

The way I'm thinking about it is that the FR-S is the base model, and the BRZ premium is a step up with HID's, Nav, etc., that way it seems like I'm not getting the bare bones model
