As a general practice, I'd suggest unscrewing the mounting points as opposed to pulling the inserts out of the inner door skin.

Plastic pry tools (like the $6 HF ones) will avoid that.

I've always called them Door Cards. I know that Edd China calls them cards as well, so

Just to clarify when pulling off the door panel, is it an up and out motion or just pulling outwards? I can't get mine off, feels like im going to rip the handle off. Thanks!

You pull out to undo the clips. Once all the clips are loose, it will just be hanging from the top of the door, and then you pull up. Once the card is off, you need to undo the wires and handle/lock.

Is there no vapor barrier behind the door panel / card? If there is can someone tell me what sort of adhesive is used?
