The @Beat-Sonic one works great. You just pop out the right side trim and it just slides onto it. Don't have to worry about it falling off or having to mod/glue/adhesive anything to it.

Just don't forget to get the proper adapter for your phone.

I tried similar...every 8min of driving or so with braking, my item (being held by magnet), fell off or slid under my seat... ;(

Looking for something similar as well though...dont want velcro or sticky icky messes when I want to relocate my items.

What about a window one? Never tried one...

Well this one uses a strong magnet you put in a phone case or attach to the back of your phone. It's extremely sturdy I've done hard braking, quick turns, hit potholes and its never dropped my phone. I love just tossing the phone on it with having to mess with clips and attachments.

Probably can't since it was on the prototype it is likely just a one off. I could not find it in a search.

I actually bought a Soche MagicMount after seeing this thread when I went to walmart yesterday. Stuck it to the dash piece next to the radio.. I have to say I love it! Doesn't look to obnoxious and holds my OnePlus One really well. I was able to stick the magnet under the swap cover inside of my phone and its brilliant.

I have the rocketfish mount from that thread, not planning to use it with the suction cup though. I unscrewed the adjustable arm from the base and I'm planning to get single din deck and bolt it up in the pocket in the dash kit. I'll try and take pics and maybe do a diy if there's any interest. I realize this solution wont work for most, but I think it will be very clean, and best of all, because this mount opens up to be about 6" wide it should work to mount the OFT screen as well.

I use this: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JP0RTB4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]Amazon.com: Koomus CD-Eco Universal CD Slot Smartphone Car Mount Holder Cradle[/ame]

I really like that it does not block the car's screen if you use it in landscape. It also does portrait just fine and rotating it 180 degrees will put the phone in front of the car's screen.

Same one I'm using. I'll issue after using it for a while is that the clamp squeaks. Not a big deal but something to note.

I've been using it for a bit over 2 weeks, so I can't comment on durability yet. For what it's worth, it feels solid and Amazon reviews are encouraging

I have a short cable to plug it into the USB outlet in the center console. (I actually have black one now that replaced that stupid white cable.)

I have yet to see a commercial bracket that's as good as what I have. Sometimes if you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself.
Great idea, bend up a few and sell them, I'd buy one.
