An 86 logo in the center will look like crap because it won't fit right. Best bet would be to find a Toyota badge that fits in the slot. You still have to cut or grind down the imprint of the Scion emblem to make it fit. All in all, it can be done, it just has to be done right or it will look like shit. I took the easy route and best looking. Obviously that always comes with a price.

I love the look of yours, just not sure I want to spend the dough on that.

Just do it. The satisfaction of a job done right and OEM spec made it worth it, at least to me it did.

And hey if any of you guys screw up your scion airbag beyond repair, I have one I'll sell you at a discount hahaha.

If you could pry off the emblem and stick something this size over where it used to be it would. Possibly a decal. You would need foam to fill in the indent below it.

Well you guys asked for it. The final product is this, and if I ever stumble into $800 for free I'll get the 86 airbag but this is it until then. The emblem I received was terribly painted in chrome and had scratches and it was just all around bad. I sanded it down and fixed it and just painted it with the pearlescent red paint that looks 500x better in person than these crappy photos. I bought chrome spray paint from the store and it looked nowhere near what it was supposed to so I just stripped it off and went with this. IM DONE.

Looks much better now man.

What car did the badge come off of so others can follow suit?

I'm going to try 3D printing a personalized emblem.

Does the Scion emblem just come off with a hair dryer/heat gun?

You can just pull it right off. Do it slowly and carefully though.

Heat guns etc won't help anything.

Yeah you can pry it off with a flathead, just do it from the inside of the emblem, not the outside.
