This is quick and dirty, but it illustrates in simple terms exactly why optimizing your shift points is not as simple as "shift at peak torque"

http://www.welltall.com/ymc/discovery/car/shiftpt.html

For the record, this works with ANY engine. Doesn't matter how many cylinders it has or whether it uses variable valve timing/lift

We've pretty much exhausted the available information. Now it's a matter of semi-related discussions to keep the thread alive in hope that those who are in a position to being new information to the table will do so here.

I see no need to clutter up the thread even more so, for new people skimming through. If I wanted to know when to shift to get the most power out as possible, I would get a dummy book for it.

Took my car out to the local autoX to help out with some other cars. Everyone that looked at the car engine compartment thought it was stock. ( minus the unicorn logo)

If i get the OK from my cardiologist. I might have to take it out one of these days.

Just about everyone i talked to today said that they would buy the kit in a hearbeat. Then they asked what the MSRP would be. When i said just under 4K WITH an ECUTek license, they all said "where do i send my money?"

Considering flying out within a month and coming to hear and take a ride in person. I'm on the east coast, I don't see anyone on my side of the states who's got one yet.

Waiting is hard, but I'm watching this one very closely based on price and the ability to leverage a UEL header.
