I get major knock on 91 at the track. My aim has dropped below .7 at times if I don't mix enough 100 in to boost the overall octane rating. Do you have something to data log?

Yeah. Next time you track set warnings for IAM (under .8) and FLKC (past - 2). Log a session if you really want to see later.

Ideally those should be 1.0 and 0.0 respectively, which is much more attainable on e85 (or higher octane fuel)

I dont have flex fuel so couldnt say for sure. But the pump claims e71 or higher. The way my car runs I believe it to be accurate

Yep, I understand. I can get ethanol and mix it with 94. It's very expensive though so just trying to get an idea. Flex fuel would be the way to go for me if i decided to take the plunge.

Yeah, flex fuel is definitely needed if mixing with regular fuel

How expenaive and hard is it to get ethanol? And do you get knock on 94? Do the tracks you go to have 100oct available?

Very expensive and likely not worth it. But if E50 would work I might consider it. I haven't logged anything yet but plan on it. Not the track I attend regularly. They don't even have bathrooms haha

IAM (under .8) and FLKC (past - 2)

Under 0.8 is good and over -2 is good?

No. Thats bad. You set the warning like stated so if IAM drops to less then .8 it triggers or under -2 FLKC. And even within those isnt necessarily ideal, but those are the warnings that tell you its really bad. Logging a whole session would be best. You can post in the tuning subforum to have people who know more then me help at that point.

Ouch. I dont know where the benefit really kicks in. Probably a question for the tuning or track subforum.
