Yes @troek did some good work on this

reduce post start timing retard
reduce post start rpm
reduce maf scaling adjustment post start

most of the noise comes from the timing retard applied post start it all to do with heating cats up quickly for emmissions.

search for trhread something like "high rev cold start"

This has been on my mind for a while - is there potential damage to either the engine / exhaust system / cat core itself without the timing retard to heat the core or is it purely for emissions?

Thanks!

I don't think any damage is done as long as you drive easy until it's warm, as is standard practice for engine longevity. You can shut the cold start up by driving away or even just rolling a few feet and then stopping again, so I don't think it hurts anything (besides treehuggers' hearts)

From what i have read it all about getting cats up to temp for emmisions, however no guarantees, lot of guy running catless header. Cat more likley to be damaged from overtemp , some guys have been running these mods for maybe a year now .

see here

Only cats i heard of damaged was the Counter space Garage car thats seen plenty of very hard track work and it was stock

Good to know that I'm not the only one who got P0420 with the 2.06 tune. I though that I mistakenly left 1.59 in the ECU which had the same problem at least for the 700I version... Hope it will be fixed in all tunes forever in further releases.

Had a "bogging" issue when launching on Stage 1, v2.0 beta but it seems to be gone now on v2.06. Probably just the re-flash that fixed it since nothing is supposed to have changed in the map.

Hey Shiv.

Still having issues loggin Adv Multiplier along with the KC variables.

I'm on DOOC 2.06 Beta still. Should I flash to 2.06 Final?

I'm not aware of any mapping problems.

Logging functionality is all done through firmware updates (through OpenFlash Manager), not map files. I assume you have updated your OFT recently (in the last week)? If so, what values are you seeing for Adv Mult and KC?

Irrelevant - I had to disconnect my battery for a few hours today. I'm assuming the tune is still loaded in the ECU but will it have to relearn anything? Any precautions i should be taking? I'm on the e85 tune.
