Nice camera moves but can they just tighten in to the colors on the tail light. I would like a close up of the blue but the camera was too low to see the light detail.

Not legal anywhere in US/Canada as not FMVSS/CMVSS108 compliant without side marker/reflector, so it's a roll of the dice with enforcement...

Thought I had seen a thread with Valentis which had side marker and reflector but cannot locate it now...
Tom's and Buddy Club make legal lights, just watch for clear or red lens lamps with side marker and reflector. Anything with a tint/smoke lens is usually illegal as well.

Yea the Spyder / Sonar ones are DOT with a side reflector light

I don't see why it matters all of the sudden. Most mods are illegal. Rocket bunny kits are illegal because you cut out the side marker yet hundreds of cars have them. It's funny that a beautiful product is being trashed because of some reflectors when nobodies cared in the past. Most officers don't drive by a car and go "Whoa, gotta pull this dude over, he doesn't have a reflector in his tail light."

Your thinking of the new revos, they have side light and reflector.
Also I hate that these are being referred to as Valenti lights as they are not officially a Valenti product, the name should be dropped completely from these and referred to as helix. They might be made in same factory, same materials and moulds etc but they are not valenti. More like trade mark, copy write infringement?

Valenti don't get a dime from these yet their name is still used to sell them.

@Kiwis you are definitely correct in them being beautiful lights, which have been available for some time. What changed is some manufacturer now is sending to vendors like the OP with the claim of DOT compliance. Nothing against @FT-86SpeedFactory as they don't make the parts, and are a reputable vendor, but the manufacturer.
You are also correct in saying most mods are illegal, but someone buying these based on the claim of compliance may be in for a shock somewhere down the line. Sure, you may never have an issue with enforcement, but if they have a desire to pull you over, this is grounds to do so.
Another concern is moving from province to province here in Canada, or buying a vehicle. Most provinces require the vehicle to undergo a safety inspection, where things like lighting, exhaust and such are checked. If not compliant, you fail, meaning no driving the vehicle until corrected. This can get costly, so some peeps make sure the stuff they change is legal.
So, it's definitely not a new issue, it only got brought up because the claim of legitamacy had been made, but they are not compliant. As always, there are ways around it- get clear or red lens lamps, then add a reflector to the side of the vehicle, this satisfies the FMVSS108 requirement provided the red light can be seen from the side of the car
