Haha like I said, not cheap. But I feel it was worth it.
Here's a shot of the whole car with them on.

My trip the land of the free
Over pretty much the whole month of August I got to go on the trip of a lifetime around a small part of the amazing country that is America.
It was a trip that had been planned for a while with my 3 brothers and Dad and it was unreal! As luck would have it, We got into L.A on the same day as 86fest, so we hired a car and drove out to Fontana to check it out. I took a few photos of what I found; The @staycrushing FRS, I've been following Rob on instagram for ages now so it was great finally getting to see the car in person. Was hoping to see it with the wrap on but he'd already taken it off haha. Some crazy green bastard. Loved this colour, wouldn't do it to mine, but still Super clean white rocket bunny. So many rocket bunnies at 86fest First time I came across the new buddyclub taillights. I NEED THESE BUT THEY WONT BE LEGAL IN AUSTRALIA Not sure why this LFA was there but I don't think anyone was complaining First and only wing like mine I saw while in the US An excellent little Ruckus And the rest It was such a cool event and just made me wish the same could be done over here. The rest of the trip is another story but basically we hired Harleys (I got a 883 Sportster) and rode from LA - Vegas (Drove a 458 Italia and an Aventador) - Hoover Dam- Along Route 66 for a bit - Williams - Grand Canyon - Through Monument Valley - Mexican Hat - Trail of the Ancients - Up through the Glen Canyon - Continued up through Utah - Salt Lake City - Bonneville Salt Flats - Wendover - Winnimucca - Hawthorne - Mono Lake - Through Yosemite National Park - Got diverted by the massive fire to the 49 (An unreal bit of road) - Stockton - Fairfield - Bodega Bay on the coast - Down the coast (So much fun) - Across the Golden Gate in San Fran - Salinas - Monterey (Dropped in at Mazda Raceway on the way through, watched a bunch of Porsches and BMW's race around for a bit) - Rode Highway 1 down the coast, another unreal road (Unfortunately very busy on a Saturday Afternoon) - Santa Monica - Then just hung around LA for a couple days to finish off the trip We covered 3000 miles (nearly 5000km) in just over two weeks and saw so many amazing things along the way. From complete desert to dense rain forest. Basically I now love America and turns out I'm going back there in February haha I wont clog up this thread with other pictures from the trip. Maybe just one - my favourite. From the Salt Flats, me maxxing out the sportster

Absolutely amazing video sir. And when I say absolutely amazing... that just does not capture it well enough. As a part time videographer documenting my journey through life this was amazing. Good thing you had a helicopter because it elevated video even higher... no pun intended.
I fly on a helicopter like that every now and then for work and those things feel like they run on steroids. Small, agile... picks up altitude like a rocket. Great stuff sir. Bravo. |

Unless you're in Southern California, AE86's are very rare here, too. That said I do know a few people who own them but to see one in the wild is a rare treat indeed!

HI,
Could you give some review for the HKS EL catted header? Why you choose catted header+ catless front pipe instead of catless header+ catted front pipe? Thanks. |

I went EL because, while I like the sound of UEL headers, its just not the sound for me. EL just seemed right. And as for the Cat placement, I didnt do massive amounts of research into it but it just seemed like catless header could have been a pain with triggering codes? and because HKS do the catless front pipe as well (and I wanted to keep as much of the system as possible same brand) it just seemed like the logical combo. Now, I've been running the car with everything installed for a while now, has done around 8000kms with no problem so far. Have been meaning to update this thread but haven't had time as I had another trip to the states earlier this year then got stuck into uni as soon as I got home and just haven't had time. But long story short, will be doing a big update in the next few weeks so stay tuned.
