I did when I took out plugs to check them after I found injector was stuck open

BINGO stock setting on injectors with 1000id will definitely cause this.

I’ll ask James and see if he set it right and send him whatever kind of log I can

I'm sorry I thought I came to the understanding that you already had your new Port injectors scaled. Ya you can't just replace injectors with bigger 1s thinking they are drop in ready. If you have the Racerom add-on with your ecutek cal the injector CC setting is easy to adjust but James a good guy and he should be able to correct this with a few logs.

James left my tune unlocked so I just make my own minor changes now.

He sent me a base tune for my setup with those injectors and all. If that’s what you mean by scaled then yes they are. As for James super cool he’s been answering all questions he can but he’s just tuner so I don’t wanna bug him much. Says I was the first DI injector he’s ever seen stay stuck open lol

Just one made sure part number was the same along with the same big number stamped on the injector body when I received said injector

So I swapped plugs from back of the head to the front and then they switch cylinder 4 came back sooty like if it had combustion and cylinder 2 came back washed out with fuel. I checked my coils to see if I can see any cracks or obvious signs of failure and only this I can see is there’s a white something in all the connectors

@FRS Justin coils would normally throw a code but what if it doesn’t run long enough to register a misfire code??

that's a grease to keep connections from corroding

Ok, any way to check coils? Besides putting screw driver in it and cranking?

Dialectric grease.

Maybe a multimeter to test the coils firing?

According to the service manual these coils can’t be resistance checked to determine wether good or bad. That was my first idea but it didn’t quite work out for me

Can’t you check for spark by pulling the coil, pulling the spark plug and inserting it in the coil? Turn the engine over and see if you are getting spark. If not then swap spark plugs or swap a new plug and continue to isolate a plug problem versus a coil problem. Seems like if you have compression and if you have fueling confirmed (pressure, delivery and tune) then this is a spark issue.

Seems like if it was a MAF issue then every cylinder would be bad. Same if it was a fuel regulator or any other component that is not cylinder specific.

The normal procedure to determine a faulty coil when tuned. Can you flash to a base tune and see what faults it gets on an OBD2?

Or mechanically the coil outputs could be measured with probes for current or voltage, multimeter is useful if you know what you're looking for.

Fuel, ignition, mechanical. Did you leave a rag in the inlet? Piss in the fuel tank?
