Rattling Sound In Neutral

Sometimes when I glide to a stop in neutral I hear a rattling sound, which never happens when I'm in gear. I'm just over 5k miles and it has always done this. Never heard his in any other car with MT.

Anyone have the same issue and get it resolved? I'm curious if it might've a bad part in the clutch (TOB) or transmission. I don want to ignore it and accept that it's just a common sound for an FR-S and my preference is coasting in neutral. It's honestly imbarrassing because passengers hear it and think I'm doing something wrong causing the sound.

When I replaced my clutch, I noticed my throw out bearing had a lot of play. It rattled a lot.

I replaced the entire clutch assembly with an OS Giken twin plate. The rattling from the throw out bearing is gone...but the twin plate makes other rattling noises which are rather cool.

So it sounds like a lot of speculation on this topic. No one has had the issue resolved. Everyone has accepted the sound is normal but disagree on where the sound is coming from (flywheel, throw out bearing, DI, etc.).

Need to keep in mind that most cars make all these weird noises but they are way better sound proofed so you just never hear them. It is completely within the realm of probability that the noises are indeed normal and nothing to worry about.
If concerned take it in and have it checked but be prepared for them to say "that is normal".
