When I first bought my 17' last year with the beautiful front bumper had a girl send her boyfriend to go get a cart outside produce store. She came over and was asking what kind of car it was,"Whats an eight six?" said it looked expensive ect. I thought I have would more situations like that but no.

I still get more love, attention, questions on my 20 year old C5

I wasn't sure of the 17+ front before but I like it more than the pre-update face now.

The car has a more mature grown up look to me.

Now when I look at the pre-facelift I find it looks more boy-racerish in comparison.

IMO the car doesn't look like a 50k car, but it looks like a 30k car.
And yes the interior as plain as it is does looks and feels cheap (I really dislike the Yaris climate control knobs, those stick out like a sore thumb to me).
Then I sat in a GT trim model and it gives off a much more premium vibe. It just looks/feels better. Not 50k better mind you but a bunch of everything is better.

Seats feel better with the leather/alcantara combo, the centre stack looks way better, knobs feel better even if they're a still tad plasticky, the glossy/carbon fiberish trim looks/feels better than the hard plastic T motif, instrument panel looks a bit more up to date with that little square readout.

Now I just need to sit in a BRZ to see if the red stiching and use of leather vs granluxe makes it feel any different.

WARNING SUBJECTIVE OPINION INCOMING!

It looks like something that was cobbled up to meet the rest of the Toyota line up styling cues with something else that was cobbled up to make it even more aggressive slapped on it in the name of TRD. None of the new front bumper or the TRD front and rear panels work with the lines of the rest of the car. My eye get's conflicted and does know where to look.

It was actually went I went up to the 17 86 in person that I got sold on it. It just looks so nice from many angles for me.

Regarding the interior though, it makes me sick to sit in a BRZ for long because of all the gloss interior... so much gloss it looks tacky, leather seats are nice though.

I think it looks fantastic, especially that example.

More plastic bits doesn't really help.

My two cents if it:
The car looks like a $30k+
But engine preforms and has an interior of a sub $20k eco commuter car.
