"spilling your coffee"

Apparently you can drink your coffee as long as it goes straight from your cup to your mouth.

Do you have the old-style passenger-side plastic trim piece? The one that is faux carbon fiber or silver?

I just have one of these suctioned to it. Works great except when its cold in the morning and warm in the afternoon. Then the suction comes off. Not a huge deal and it keeps the phone out of the sun.

Yep, one drop of your coffee detected on your shirt/blouse ....... BAM! .....$99.

AND ...... they can confiscate a woman's blouse, right off her back, to use as evidence .......

Not sure that is a risk I want to take. Have you seen how bad some lids fit paper/strofoam cups?

It is Washington and the only coffee legally sold is Starbucks and their lids fit pretty good so it shouldn't be an issue.

I found this to be the best solution for the 17+ with the fabric trim piece.

I wrapped the bracket and it turned out nicely. I paired it with magic mount and stuck the metal shim inside my OtterBox.

I highly recommend this to anybody, and support our forum member syience. Very prompt and shipping was fast.

Damm ! Wrap look great ! Another option I can do to mine. Sy is quick and the mount is top shelf.

I really like what Sy sent because it allows you to finish it how ever you want.

I definitely recommend the wrap, any color since it really cleans up the bracket with little effort.
I gave it a rough sand with 120 grit to bring down the uneven surfaces on mounting face of the bracket.

Also love the square backing doubling as a stand for my phone on my desk.

Don't magnets mess with electronics? I mean, it's a steady state field, but still seems like it would cause strange things to happen...

I think that's an old wives tale with modern phones.
10 years ago maybe it was a concern.. not today though.

I've used the magnet on my Android phone for about 6 months with no issues.
And I keep my magnet attached to the back of my phone throughout the day too as a desk stand.
