How to get that classic high-pitch 4cyl sound from brz?

I know I'm in the minority when I say I'm not a fan of the "boxer" rumble. I much prefer a higher pitch sound, and was wondering what exhaust systems would be good for that, if its even possible. I plan on getting equal length headers, but other than that, what are some exhaust systems that tend to produce higher pitch sounds?

I'm also not a fan of the bro-rumble. I got the resonated 2.5 Perrin catback for that reason and I really dig it.

That said, you're gonna have some rumble at idle regardless...it's a boxer 4.

I don't know for sure since my car is still stock, but my guess is that you'll want catless longtube EL headers with the stock muffler and a raised rev limit.

AFAIK every single aftermarket muffler has a deeper tone than stock.

I'm interested in the same thing, give me screams over rumbles every time.

Any quality EL header will work, HKS, JDL, ACE and a well resonated cat back to keep the rasp away.

Longtube equal length headers + free flowing exhaust with enough resonators, at least one of them Helmoltz type to reduce drone
