I think the mediocre GPS in my phone cut a bit of the lap, so it was maybe a bit closer 1:52. However, I think this was definitely still the quickest lap of the day for me. I know @rice_classic spends a lot of time here so I'd love to have his feedback!

Had a great time with ProFormance, as always. Top rate group with great instructors and support. Pacific Raceways can be a fairly intimidating track, but the support of the community makes it a great experience, I'd recommend it to anyone for that alone.

I had a bit of a surprise towards the end of the day. A friend I'd met at a prior track day was out with his E92 M3. We switched for about 18 minutes in the last session and I was majorly impressed with that car. Going from the basically stock BRZ to the M3 was a bit eye-opening. That V8 is definitely one of the all-time greats.
You're doing the right thing for a ProFormance day, following the track-day line and maximizing it. Watching that lap, it looks (and sounds) like you're getting the most out of the car and tires and you're approach to 5a is outstanding. Just keep learning and don't start making changes to your car unless you've reached a plateau in development. Changing while learning does not allow one to learn from the changes.

Comments: Finished 1st on Saturday and 2nd on Sunday out of 8 cars in TTD. Just looking at my AIM Solo data there are probably about 2-3 more seconds to be gained with more seat time and more consistent driving

That track looks amazing! The run offs look very forgiving if not inviting

Awesome, thanks for the feedback! No plans to change anything on the car, just keep up with maintenance until the stock tires are worn out and get as much seat time as possible.

My first day out, the entrance to 5a really intimidated me, but now its a really enjoyable challenge. I'm starting to get used to how the car reacts to that first bump so its easier to anticipate and control the car. That 5b - 6 - 7 - 8 section is my favorite part of the course, the BRZ feels really at home there.

I think my biggest challenge with consistency is braking and setting up for 3a. I tend to cut in a bit early and I know I'll eventually have to find second gear before turning in to 3a. Just not confident enough to do that smoothly yet.

Track: NOLA Motorsports Park
Car: 2013 FR-S
Mods: See my build thread. Link in signature. Doing it on OEM pads though!
Notes/Comments: This was my first track day ever. I'd recommend skipping to 11:45 to watch me chase and eventually pass the Audi TT RS.

That may be, but I still have a goal to shoot for now. With all 180 (or so) of my horses.

Leah Keen just posted this one up...a GTR at Road Atlanta...

Someone needs to get him an FR-S to drive... I'd like to see what he could squeeze out of one.

Track: The Ridge Motorsports Park
Car: '14 BRZ Limited MT
Mods: Hawk HP+ Brake pads (w/ Motul RBF600), front camber bolts and alignment (0 toe front and rear, front camber ~ 1.3*)
Event: The Ridge Racing School HPDE

A couple weeks ago, I decided for the sake of mental health to sneak in a track day at The Ridge before our dog's second knee surgery. Last time I drove out here was two years ago in a Chump car and I quickly learned just how much there is to forget. After the first couple sessions I started to remember the sight lines and landmarks I'd learned a few years ago with The Ridge Racing School and by the afternoon I was able add speed and started taking video. With a clear track, I was able to hit 2:17's and 2:18's fairly consistently and before I turned on the camera, Harry's said I managed a 2:16.90 that I'm a bit skeptical of.

The link at the top is the best lap I have video of, 2:17.40. Hopefully later this year I'll be able to head back out there and get an instructor to ride with me (paging @rice_classic) so I can start trimming the fat.
