Definitely not, unless you are talking about head-unit

So my question is, is there a way to change the climate control on the BRZ Limited to read in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit (like on all the other BRZs not sold in the US). Could this be done through TechStream?

Thank you!

Sell the car, and buy a Canadian spec model.

Or do a Kijiji trade and see if anyone would trade one straight up US for CAN spec.

Might be easier than have to muck around with the ECU and center stack modification....but probably way more of a hassle lol

Not that easy. Each person would have to pay duty, inspection fees, taxes, and about 10 other charges to swap across the border. Or wait 30 years for the age restrictions on vehicles to come into play.

I also don't recall seeing it an option in TechStream.

@Ultramaroon able to page through the service manual to find anything?

I'm not available to find it in tech-stream because I own an FR-S and it would most likely not even show that option as available to change the temp control display values. May even be a regional setting hidden somewhere.

Nope. I'm in the same boat as you. We need to plug into one of the special models. Nothing in the manual.

Random thought...

Is the HVAC unit firmware flashable through the OBDII and CANBUS? If so, flashing the JDM/Canadian/everywhere else version of the software might do it.

Anyone have pictures of the PCB of of the Auto AC? it could be a possibility that the settings for F vs C could be saved in a EEPROM. It would make sense since it has to save your last saved settings (temp and what buttons you had pressed before turning the car off). Or sometimes manufactures to make it as easy as possible on their assembly line when making the PCBs to were its a simple jumper or eeprom setting afterwards.

The temp on the ambient sensor from the cluster it sent as C though canbus so the only thing to worry about is how to switch the controls to C.

Im digging up this old post too. Sorry if I send out a mass notification. Has anyone figured a good DIY solution to this at all? I stopped using imperial many years ago. Ferenheight is foreign to me now and metric just makes more sense all around. Being on US roads driving everyday, I can still use mph, hopefully thats obvious, but ferenheight is a nogo when I can set my phone, thermostat, and web browser to all assume centigrade first.

The AC module is the same for US and EU model, you have to replace the BCM module. This module controls the AC units.
Keep in mind that there are some other difference between modules, i.e. EU doesn't have car alarm.

Other Toyota models have this issue as well. No way to change without a BCM from the appropriate country that has your preference
