BRZ / FRS Insurance Costs in Socal?
Not sure if this is the best place to put it - but has anyone around Socal asked for Insurance price on the car? I've tried asking AAA but they said they need the car particulars in order to give me an estimate - and he said he couldn't do it until it comes out (not even ball park -_- ). So I'm wondering if anyone knows roughly how much it would cost? (I will be 25 yrs old, no driving record if that helps).

You don't have at least 3 yrs of driving experience?
Perhaps using the Genesis couple would give you a good idea on how much you'll be paying for insurance. Also I highly suggest getting a quote from Wawanesa if you have a clean record.

Thanks for the pro-tip! I'll check out Wawanesa - is there a reason why they are good?

When you say no driving record do you mean that you haven't had a license until now or that you haven't had any accidents or insurance claims?

Wawanesa is down right cheap. I changed from USAA after years of using them.

The thing is with Wawanesa is that they are very exclusive and must have a clean record. They only offer polices for Oregon and California and their CA office is located in San Diego.

I've been reading alot of reviews that are generally favorable.. There seems to be alot of price increases after the first year according to a few dozen or so ppl.. Know anything about that?

Asking someone how much they pay for insurance is as helpful as asking someone how much they spend for groceries. There are too many different factors that play into insurance costs.

That seems reasonable - we're not looking to find out exactly how much one is paying (or at least I'm not) just looking for ball park prices. Yes - it changes depends on your situation - but its not like they can't be talked about and estimated on ?

Insurance is really unfair but you can blame the age group and the type of vechicle your driving =/. Like if I was 1 year older my insurance would be cut in half. =/ The Scion TC and the 370z are super expensive too. I pay like 1200 per year on my Prius or 1100 on my Highlander. I think they will want like 1400-1600 for a TC. I'm actually a bit scared about the FR-S. My premiums are 500 detuctible with 250/500/500 coverage though and what other stuff you guys go with. I think Farmers will be a good choice if you never been in an accident. They have a good policy for deducting your rates if you never been in an accident every 2 years your with them. |
