Ummm... not sure where we stand on this now. @msugi07 @sdlynx are either of you interested in a position on the Board? If yes please state your intention to run and we will set up the elections. If neither of you are, then we have essentially the same Board up for reelection and I'm not sure procedurally where we go from there. Just have an election with a certain outcome?

Or... Mr. President can dissolve the Board and declare ... a Finchtatorship.

Finchtatorship. I like the sound of that. Hahahaha

Yes, I would like @msugi07 and @sdlynx to please clarify by tonight. ( @sdlynx I want to meet with you either way to brainstorm.) If not, then the board shall add to our bylaws prior to March 1 to take care of this. I would imagine posting a poll to run unopposed would be sufficient but not sure its even necessary. Mahbe just a confirmation thread? We will discuss and post info on the forum accordingly.

We serve one year terms that start on March 1st so it was time to hold nominations and elections.

oh forgot to mention, as per our bylaws, all new incoming Board members shall deposit $50 into the club funds, and any departing Board members have the right to request their $50 back. Just wanted to make sure people did not overlook that little detail amidst all the other stuff.

Finchtatorship for sure!!!!

Honestly though, I'm good with whatever we need to do to get the most out of our folks. I love hanging with you all at the Dublin meets and whenever I can get out there myself.

It was also fun with those who came out for the Yosemite run too.

If it would help things for me to be on the board, then I'll do it. But, as Finch knows, either way, I'm always willing to help where I can. Whether on the board or not.

Lately, I've just been trying to express the frustrations of the people stuck between the mountains and far from civilization (Okay... maybe not THAT bad).

@sdlynx I suggest you start by building up Cencal and gathering local enthusiasts in your area. Each group is already doing this in their area, Sac86, North Bay, South Bay, SF, etc. Norcal86 throw big events every year but if you want to find people to hang out with more often then it has to be local people in your area unless you're willing to drive out.

With that said I accept the renomination for Norcal86 Board member.

BunnyRZed, Honestly, every time I try to propose some sort of inclusion of Central Valley, I get the same thing. "If you want to start a group, start a group".

However, it's not about me. I couldn't care less where the meet-ups are. If I'm interested enough in going, I find a way to go. Finch knows this about me as well. I'm talking about the lack of representation of the Central Valley in NorCal86. When the club started, it was started with the idea of having a representative board from different areas. This is why the board is comprised of the folks there.

You have representation from Stockton, Daly City, Sacramento, San Ramon, and Hayward. That's a pretty good representation of the group, but it does leave out the Central Valley from the group.

I'd happily give up my spot. Plato and I are close enough in location that we don't need 2 people from one spot.

Well depending on elections you could just trade your spot for two from south sf (pish and sheena) or two from Stockton area (me and msugi). Either way we are having an election at this point. I will post it up wednesday night to end saturday night. People have until then to put their names in. Ill consider you out at this point unless you say otherwise. And still waiting on @NorCalGirl to speak up on running again.

Current nominations listed in first post

^second. I'm very greatful that we have such a great club and I'm part of it. I love going to the meets and look forward to everyone of them. I'd be happy to be part of the board and being able to help grow the club even greater, but same as @sdlynx, I'm willing to contribute one way or the other.

Funny, I was about to say the same ... take Jessie, and give me my $50 back! hahaha jk. I think. I would be happy to step down if some new and energetic members would like to have a shot at the role, and it would allow better representation of the overall area/community.
