I did a full detail on my car today. Wash, clay bar, wash, polish, wax, and interior. Took me 6 hours, but car is looking good! Took it to gas station afterwards and got 4 compliments lol. Validated my time spent. Also I reflashed the stage 1 tune to the 93 octane tune and it is so much better. I think I was on the 91 octane tune. Makes a huge difference.

I agree that your mods are up to you and what you feel the car needs, but if you want recommendations mine would be a k&n air filter. Good cheap first mod and it does make a difference. Also I wish I had done it, but a clear bra. Our bumpers get really banged up especially on the high way. Mine is chopped to hell and I wish I had done it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Making me jealous dude... I crave a tune!!! Might just bite the bullet and shell out some dough for a canned stage 2 + EcuTek license from speedfactory. It's always a good feeling having your twin all nice and shiny and pristine. Mine could definitely use the same TLC...she's been neglected for a couple months. |

I've heard speed factory is good and also good things about delicious as well. Mine as well, it's needed for a while. The new exhaust and tune has renewed my passion! Had to be done lol. I've done detailing in the past so and already have all the equipment to do it so it was just taking the time to do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I too considered the clear bra but after reading how some peoples turned yellow I stopped researching. I got some touch up paint to tide me over. |

I didn't see a stage 1 or 2 tune from delicious. Most of their tunes all revolve around FlexFuel and FI applications. I'll get their JacksonRacing SC tune when I'm ready, but in the meantime I'll just get a prepackaged stage 2 tune from wherever, and ft86speedfactory has been pretty good to me thus far so I'll continue to give them my business. |

They want $250 for the stage 2 tune. Or $500 for the tune + license (what I need). Or $825 for the Tune + License + Cable. But I already have the cable, just need the tune/license combo. |

Yeah man, I've spent countless hours on these forums just trying to learn and absorb as much as possible. For OpenFlashTablet like Vegas has, you don't need a professional tuner, or a license or any of that crap. Just the tablet and the files you download for free. For EcuTek, you need 3 things. You need the Cable/Dongle, the Tune, and an EcuTek license (that imbeds in your ECU and allows you to flash EcuTek tunes). |

Here's a pretty simplified explanation of how EcuTek works, this guy has done several write-ups and really knows his stuff. All his handy links are on the bottom of his posts, like his signature.

Great info thank you. Expensive. Worth it once you go FI though. For NA I'll stick with the OFT, but FI might be in my future so I might end up going this way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
