There honestly isn't much you could do to destroy your car during autocross (of course this coming from the guy who just tore out his passenger wheel well liner last weekend, but ignore that). That's the reason I like autocross so much, it's low risk and high enjoyment. You won't get stranded because there are going to be 100+ of us there with the same car who will all be willing to help you out.

Haha, I'm angry because I posted the link to register on Facebook before I registered and by the time I had the chance all the numbers I wanted were gone (and I was still like 5th to register lol)

Too bad it's capped at 100, the numbers I usually race with are 317 and 927

You can drive as hard or as light as you want. If you are worried about breaking the car, then drive more conservatively, you'll still enjoy the experience of a little cone attack.

Bottom line is, this will teach you more about your car and how it handles than almost anything else you can do.

I think he's more worried about breaking off a tie rod or wrecking another part of his suspension--I am a little worried about this myself. My AAA is paid up, so I shouldn't have too much of an issue, if that actually happens.

Actually, if you click the link to see who registered, you can request numbers. You don't have to pick one between 1-100.

It was my assumption they only want 1-100 since there are only 100 racers. Especially since it only give you 1-100 for available numbers.

@ichitaka05?

Nope. If you check, there's a guy that have 186 as his number... I just checked & there's 386 too! Why we have 2 different field for a number? Idk lol

I noticed this too. Nearest I can figure is that its a marking system, they can keep track of the number of people registered while still allowing people to have their own personal numbers.

Now here's a dilemma--with the option to change my number, I could go with what I have (which is my wife's Lucky number, and was suggested by her), or go with my area code (which is what all the cool kids are doing these days).

That said, I'm surprised nobody has taken 666 yet.

Well, thats the thing, she's not coming with (this time--17-month-old daughter would love the long drive, the wife wouldn't). So unless pictures showed up, she'd never know
