I agree I think it will likely look very close. On a side note am I the only one who like the production 86 better? At least the front?

That is so disappointing - I was hoping for something more aggressive/special than this.
It looks like a neutered shadow of its former self.

As for the S-FR, no thank you.
I'm in the other camp myself. After seeing the FT-1 in person numerous times, it's absolutely gorgeous. After seeing everything come out these past few years, only the FT-1 and the new Ford GT captivate my attention. I could stare at both of them on a carousel for hours. I actually feel a little sorry for the LFA when looking at the FT-1.

Agreed on the S-FR. Great idea and I love small light cars, but enough with trying to be cute and ending up at ugly. The front grill and rear bumper look inspired by a $50 bluetooth speaker.

People said the same thing about the LF-LC.
Apart from the rear end, I think Toyota improved on pretty much every aspect over the concept LF-LC for the production vehicle. Unfortunately, the concept LF-LC rear looks like they were going after Bruce Wayne/Batman and decided to settle on Robin instead. Perhaps the 'F' sport will fix that.

Haven't seen the FT-1 in person, and I suspect I would like it much more than I do the photos. Looking forward to seeing it.

It's really a no-brainer to have it as the new "Supra", If they can make a new NSX, why not? And hopefully mazda can follow suit with another Rx-7.

People say they want it to be the new "Supra" but I just have a strong fear that it won't live up to the legacy and will end up like the new NSX.

hmmm that is for the "ultimate trim level", I wonder if lesser trim will be N/A V6, or perhaps a N/A I6?

I would be so happy if Toyota released a lightweight NA inline 6 supra.

As long as it's not anything like the old NA Supra. Those things are slow as balls. Borderline undriveable.

Twin turbo v6 made with aluminum and carbon fiber?

You bet your ass it's probably going to start at least around 50k, and I think I'm ok with that.

What worries me is that it ends up being some 80k+ car and at that point why not just get a Cayman S. From the looks of it it's probably going to be this way too, in order to be a competitor against the NSX and GTR.

They really need to aim this car just right, at the 40-50k mark where there's pretty much no respectable sports cars, but chances are small.

Pretty incredible, but probably not very affordable to the average auto enthusist. I don't see a lot of us rushing out to buy one unless they come into the market at 40k but I don't see that happening. I see an over 100k car
