SCCA #1 is this weekend. Let the games continue.

Brian was tearing up the slopes in Red River, NM this past weekend, but I’ll be there for the SCCA event this coming weekend!

Ill be going to most/all of the SCCA and ER events this year. I might do some of the others but some of those conflict with track events.

As Sam mentioned SCCA is the most competitive for our class and ER is a little less. It will depend on what you have done to your car for the class you would be in or just run in the Novice group.

Feel free to find us at an event. We can ride with you and give you advice.

Where do I find these events? I'm just a novice, so far the car isn't modded.. yet.

What Sam said or here are the links to each club event list.

ER: http://autocross.com/er/next-event/ - you will find the calendar part way down the page. Also all the info to reg will be on that site.

SCCA: http://www.texasscca.org/solo/ - calendar is part way down the page. Info to reg is also on that page.

You would either be in CS or DS. Pretty sure the 2017 with the PP are in CS.

Do you guys ever go to the NTAXS ones? There's one at March 31st.

I looked through that list and the event at Grand Prairie and autocross school @ mineral wells seem interesting.

NTAXs is great, you have to register as soon as it opens to get a spot (The Thursday two weeks before the event usually). I'm missing a number of the NTAXs events to do the SCCA time trials (March 31 is the next time trial).

We had an excellent turnout for the first SCCA event of the season with thirteen twins (3 in DS, 8 in STX, 1 NSTX, and 1 WSTX)!

Brian <LetzROQ> placed 2nd in DS (49.825s), Taylor finished 3rd (50.096s); I managed 3rd in STX (47.159s) followed by Brandon <bslate3> (47.356s) and David <Shneegle> (47.403s) in 4th and 5th respectively. Bonnie finished 3rd in Women's PAX (50.528s)

Here's my runs (fastest starts at 3:01):

ECR was fun, definitely worth running. I ran my new Falkens and they worked great, good grip, and the wear was minimal. They'll make great track tires and I recommend them for the budget minded.

So, ER posted results on their website that are different from the ones announced at the end of the event.

David (Shneegle) and Miles' times were unchanged (makes sense for David since his runs had times all along).

Brandon (bslate3) had his times go up slightly (.050s total) and I had my times drop due to a faster left side run that had not been counted (it corresponds to one of the times that was displayed during the event).

As a result, I jumped to second place, David dropped to 3rd, and Brandon fell to 4th. The times are completely right, I do believe my fast time is correct because we saw one of them on the display; however, there are 3 times attributed to me that are clearly a different car (the 60ft times are too fast and the total times are too slow).

Once again, the mirrorcross scoring is fubarred (at this point it is an annual tradition for the times and scoring to be a mess).

Here are my runs, I used the live-timing times for the titles but who knows. I did try running my Aim Solo2, but I'm not sure it'll give me times since at the school on Saturday I added the Whitener autox course and it auto-identified it as the track (we'll see as I play with it if I can get anything from it).

What a hopeless system we have now for mirrorcrosses.

I have a few runs for one side that are flat out wrong. I never spun or got way out of shape to make any of the 50's ive been given. I wanna say that places are wrong as well at no point was it announced that anyone had jumped places at the end even based on times.

Ill just blame my codriver as he gave me the car back with brakes and tires overheated and grid didn't space 2 driver cars right the entire event.

the courses were fun. Once all these bugs are worked out it should be much better. Ill see about getting the vids for both Miles and I up at some point.

Man that really sucks! They took away my .500 RT too! I swear I had a 42.8 on the left too. Whatever.

I’ll be back at the next ER event on new tires. I know I was giving up close to a second per side.

The updated times show me with 3 times in the 50's but with 2.2s 60ft times and RT all over 1s (my other runs were 2.4s 60's and the RT from the run I messed up releasing my handbrake was 0.9s), I think they got our fast runs right based on the few times I saw on the displays/announced but who knows.

Based on the announcements and scoreboard, I was pretty sure I had Brandon beat and I thought I had you (I had a 41.9 left and 42.0 right announced, which don't include RT), but I was also pretty sure Miles had us all beat.

Of course, the scoreboard and announcements were also all sorts of wrong and/or inconsistent. There are like 3 more mirrorcrosses on the schedule, maybe it will get better.
