Well, driving out to Alberta on Monday. Should be a decent drive. Toronto to Sault Ste Marie, then Thunder Bay, then Saskatoon, then Grande Prairie.

Actually looking forward to being in Alberta for once. I'm not doing much field work this time, I'll be in charge of two crews (so six guys) and I'm just basically running the day to day operations for the job.

That drive across Saskatchewan is brutal though. Stay caffeinated.

Most of it is terrible. Well, the Soo to Thunder Bay is the absolute worst. When I drove home from there this year, there was so much construction.

There was a time I couldn't tie my shoes easily because I couldn't reach them. Socks were slightly easier, but still an effort.

The docs wanted me to consider surgery, possibly to fuse vertebrae... PT didn't help that last bit (when I went in to start PT I couldn't touch my knees) but I found some exercises that got me there. I now do yoga every day to keep the strength and flexibility, but if I'd had that surgery, I might need this magic device...
