Yup, later you wait the lighter traffic will be. But the later you will get to WC too. I commute from Santa Clara to home...but past my house to WC, later is best. Carpool on 680 barely moves as well.

Last minute meet - Hayward Sonic

Hey, if anyone is free this evening, there's going to be a little MR2sdays meet at the Sonic Drive In at Hayward. I'll be there with my MR2 Spyder, around 7:30PM but FR-S and BRZs are welcome too.

Should be nice weather for hanging out and admiring our cars, eating, etc.

Depends if your 19s are stretched on the rims now. Reusing/reinstalling them may fatigue them. Upsell you on a new set, yes. Safety wise, totally yes, I would just get a new set.

Get a new set and keep the old tires for spares. At least you get to feel what it is to have a brand new set in the turns.

Leave now and just imagine you're in the starting line at autoX. Mission/Washington, Alamo to WC will be your slowest spots.

I admit it's pretty short notice so it may not get too much turnout... but I'll be there with my camera, and if nobody shows it'll be me, MR2s and some tater tots! :happy0180:

that is sweeeeet lookin'! Did you see if it still has a Snell safety rating sticker on the inside? SA95, SA2000, SA2010? I know I had to retire my old SA95 helmet because it was too old and tracks require newer (2000+). But I didn't throw mine away I just put it on display in my game room.

Nice. Is that pearl? IMO, white helmets look 'meaner' with a thinner visor, put a white sticker running along the top edge of the visor, don't ruin your visiblity though. All that open space on a white helmet looks like you're running noob hehe. Black helmet is ok b/c it's all black.
