Can't stop powersliding! Doing any harm?

Hey, whats up guys!

After owning my fr-s for almost an year, I recently discovered powerslides! Now when there is a turn going into the road I drive out and flick the steering wheel and let the tail out a bit, just a bit though, not drifting type slides. The car only gets sideways to a small degree.

I wanted to know if i'm doing any damage to my car?? In terms of hurting the cars alignment, suspension or other components of the cars? If so please tell me!
Now I know the tires will wear out, but I also wanted to know how fast will they wear out? I powerslide almost daily, but only doing it once a day.

I always tell myself to resist doing it, but whenever a turn comes up I just cant resist the urge, it's so damn fun and the thrill is awesome!

....Oh and I only powerslide if there are no upcoming cars or any behind me, always check my surroundings beforehand!

-Thanks, help appreciated!

As long as the slide does not end abruptly against a curb, tree/pole, wall or another car you are fine.

How do people manage to crash into things while powersliding??Do they go really fast into a turn, or does the car just keep turning and crash? I feel like with this car its super easy to control and the likelihood of it happening is very little.

Even being a beginner at powersliding I always manage to get control of the car with a quick simple counter steer.

... Or a person, or a dog, or a deer, or moose. God help you if you hit a moose.

Also, Google Toyota 86 drift record. I don't think you will go sideways that much in your life. (Yes it was on a wet skidpad and other than a big fuel tank the car was stock). Point is the car will handle some sideways action just fine.

Edit: I recommend not doing it when it's wet out...

LOL, I have the same addiction. Maybe we should start a 12 step program? It's bad for the tires but that's about it. Once I got rid of the cats and OFT tuned my car, it's just so easy

Other than just looking like a hooligan on the roads. Now I know why the cops are so hostile.

They get over confident, hit gravel or water, don't have the space to start with, there are many reasons.

You're having fun, you're good, hit something even a pothole and you could mess up your alignment. Get one of these 86Nanny and go to someplace secluded to test out real powersliding with no nanny's holding back this car's fun potential. They are updating their site so keep trying it.
