The only thing left stock about the exhaust after this kit and a catback is the frontpipe.

Take a look at the stock Header and where it ends and connects to the overpipe. Now look at the UEL header, turbine, and connecting pipe and see it conecting to the exact same spot the stock header connects to the overpipe

and besides, AVO has already confirmed the turbo kit will bolt on to any header back exhaust, meaning that if you have the stock overpipe or an aftermarket one, the kit will connect to the overpipe connection.

Edit: I already replaced the overpipe/frontpipe on my car and know for a fact the kit is connecting to the stock overpipe.

Alrighty, I may have misjudged the system I apologize. So if you want a full exhaust post turbo kit, you need to replace the overpipe + frontpipe + catback?

Correct, that s what is needed for full exhaust after turbo kit.

No worries on the misunderstanding, we are all here to learn among ourselves. :happy0180:

I bet the turbo would LOVE the SRT HB. Would probably quiet the exhaust down a bit too.

Why are you guys confusing people.

The header is removed from the stock system and replaced by the UEL manifold, the turbo, and a new 'dump pipe' which connects up to the stock over pipe location.

Yeah, we already clarified that.

Turbo needs bigger diameter piping than 2.5". Needs as little back pressure as possible,

I STILL have a bug cemetery on my clearbra from SEMA. Lol.

The kit & catback sound amazing.

2.5" should be fine for this size turbo no? Aren't there circumstances where 3" could be too big or would that be more appropriate on a turbo like this?

Any more than what this kit is making with 2.5" on a turbo kit will start robbing power.

The turbo itself is all the backpressure you will ever need.... I am planning to build a 3 inch straight pipe system. Might hang an hks high power canister on it just so it looks like I am making an effort to be "legal"

Love everything about this kit but two things. These two things are all pref, just dont like hhow you cant hear the turbo sucking in air and the bov. I think my first issue can be fixed by using a metal air intake?

Its only 5 psi, and using the stock intake. Up the boost a bit and match it up to a aftermarket airbox and you should hear it plenty.

AVO offers a BOV options for 200 bucks

2.5" on stage 1 through, say, stage 3 is "right sized" for spool/response. It's a 2.0-liter motor, there's not a lot of exhaust gases to work with, so we are doing everything we can to maximize response within that framework.

If you were moving up to that 350+ WHP area, you will start looking for 3" after about 380whp. But keep in mind, low-end response will be sacrificed, and a lot of other upgrades besides the exhaust as well.
