Check the coolant passages too between the head and the block, use the headgaskets to check. |

Without getting into detail, there are 'issues' with it. It isn't like comparing EJ engines where it was basically bore and stroke changes within the same block.

It wold be possible, sure...would I see it as something marketable, no. I'll hold off and see what the factory turbo engines offer before sinking into it.
Heck, people aren't even into playing with the available longer stroke crank (would make it a 2.1) nor playing with cylinder heads...hint hint -Micah 'Homemade WRX' |
