Sadly, only had an issue with my serpentine belt (keep a spare for emergency) that may have been defective from the factory--rare issue. Kit is still going strong!
I'd also like to second this. I've installed my kit at the 20k mark and now i'm a bit over 40k and it still runs strong. Be it mostly highway miles and the weekly canyon runs, but the only thing I've really had to do was change out the SC traction fluid (following the 10k/1year suggestion from the manual). It has got to be the fastest and most expensive oil changes I have ever encountered ($150 for oil and filter).

It is 50k/2year Traction Fluid change interval.

Well thank you very much for the advice, I am also more than 30 miles away (1,350 miles). I just placed an order for the JRSC c38 as well as the JROC (because Texas lol). So far I am very happy with the service and advice Counter Space Garage has provided. Cant wait to install it!

Well then, this is much better. I must have read it wrong somewhere. At least I'm set for another 2 years lol. Thanks!

Always keep an eye on the fluid level. Spirited driving can burn the traction fluid.

While it is a good idea to keep a eye on your fluid levels, the traction fluid will not burn off.

Can anyone confirm if this has that sexy, sexy supercharger whine?

I heard a Sprintex one in person a couple days ago, and i absolutely loved the sound. I believe the JRSC puts up better numbers, but am still curious about the sound of the JRSC

It doesn't have a loud whine. On stock exhaust you can hear it OK, but I can't hear mine at all over the exhaust anymore.

Mine doesn't have a whine, but it definitely has a unique sound. It sounds like a jet at taxi when at a stable speed. It sounds a lot like a turbo car when hard accelerating and shifting. It doesn't have big blow off noise. It has a bleed off noise, but the belt keeps it turning with the engine, so it is different from a turbo in that respect. It has a unique sound at idle. People always ask me what the sound is. One guy asked why it sounds like it is taking a continuous deep breath. It definitely doesn't sound stock. That is my experience with it.

More noise = less efficiency. Energy is being converted into sound.

I would be tempted to unleash my inner ricer and buy a louder BOV =)

The problem is, it would never quit. Unlike a turbo, the supercharger produces boost with rpm, not exhaust flow. Unless you mash the clutch pedal, it's still under boost. It would be perpetual whooshing, and I believe it would get really tiring really quickly. It does have noise when you let off the throttle. You really hear it during high rpm gear changes. Many others who have it say it falls off power wise at about 6900 rpm on the JR tune. I am not on the JR tune, and have full aftermarket exhaust (ace type a 350 header and over pipe, JDL ultra quiet front pipe, invidia q300 cat back). It pulls hard all the way to redline, and you really hear it then- really at any gear changes at RPMs above 5000. It makes whooshing noises while at neutral throttle positions when at stabilized steady state speeds. It sounds strange when that happens. You really only hear that clearly at lower stabilized speeds under maybe 25-30 mph. And, as I stated before, it also sounds like a jet idling down a taxiway when at stabilized speed from parking lot speeds to lower highway speeds in my car. Just a constant turbine whine. So whooshing and jet turbine noises when stabilized speed. It has good noises. Everyone tells me or asks what it is, It just isn't a roots or twin screw type of noise. And, it is definitely more subtle. Car guys and girls know something is up, sometimes they just aren't sure what. I still hear it loud and clear btw. I was really wanting good noises when I was buying, and I was under the impression I wouldn't really have them. I resigned myself to settle for performance. I was pleasantly surprised, but with a different kind of noise.
