I first noticed this on my car about a year ago. Since then, I've been careful to park the car so that the back is facing the sun (south). It hasn't gotten any worse since the first time I noticed it.

I think mine is starting to do this as well.. I bought the car this way (pre owned) and I always though that the lip above the center vents sat a little high.. Is this covered under the factory 36K mile warranty?

I believe that's the case, as per previous posts. Make sure to make an informed decision when you take it in though and consider the risks of them screwing it up. From what's been discussed, it's an invasive procedure.

This. I know you used epoxy, but there is a trim adhesive that would have worked as well. My buddy and I used this on his 97 7 series BMW. Part of the dash was pulling up very similarly to ours, just on the side. Worked like a charm. We just clamped it over night and done.

Mine is fine so far and I don't use a shade or any sort of cover. Just aerospace 303. If it happens, I will probably glue it myself. That is A LOT of work that I don't really want the dealer doing ()=)

Haha yeah, I held mine by hand for almost an hour and watched YouTube to pass the time. Then I realized I had mini clamps and ran to get them, so it was unclaimed for 30 minutes or so, unfortunately. Then clamped - still got them on, going to give it 48 hours just to be sure.

I have had a sunshade for over a month now. It seems to keep it the dash from rising during. Otherwise it's negligible albeit noticeable. The dealership made two little marks on my vent just inspecting it. Couldn't imagine what they would do if they actually replaced it.

P.S.

I took it in to get the 1st and ONLY oil change. Had the DS do it because I had water in my taillight. Then had them inspect the dash while they were at it. Last time they will see my car for routine maintenance. Hopefully all goes well for my baby. And everyone else!

Rubber dash coming up

Mine moved up a little, I'm trying to decide if I want to replace it at the dealers or just live with it for now... Is it that noticeable?

That's not bad...yet. I would leave it. When I had my dash replaced, it was about ten times worse than that.

Exactly how mine looked. Ugh, brings back bad memories. I know people will advise you against the dealership, but if you can find a good one that has decent ratings then I'd just have them give you a brand new dash while it's still covered under warranty.

@becauseracecar1 I'd leave it. That's not bad at all.
