I couldnt believe how many were there! i rocked up to the front gates and met a couple guys in 86's. Josh and Pete (I heart TOFU) i think the names were White & grey GTS's.

The MRT/Whiteline 86 looked pretty cool with the stripes, HKS 86 was rocking the Legamax exhaust, couldnt believe the size of the tips on that thing! looked hot!

Was only there for a couple hours, but enjoyed it

i'll do that this weekend

Well it was raining in sydney last night so i thought it was a good chance to go and play with the traction control buttons

I dont drive with no buttons activated anymore, i always push the sport button when i start the car. the reason is it doesnt shut the power down so harshly when traction is lost, i tried last night to spin out with sport mode on, and it just isnt possible...

When you hold the other button for a few secs, thats when i got slidey

The car was clean, went for a drive, came back and this...

i Lol'd when i hopped out of the car @ bunnings and a few tradey types saw my expression and understood what i had been up too heheh.

this car is so much fun

The Car went in for a check up this morning, Last week had a rough Idle issue (Below )

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHY-fl3Hqgg"]Toyota 86 Rough Idle CEL - YouTube[/ame]

& and CEL came on a couple times. Then a couple days later, winding drivers window down made this horrible loud squeaking noise, and while its there i asked them to check out the idle ticking which in my opinion has gotten louder and louder from around 500kms.

Just spoke to Toyota Service,
They fixed the squeeking window, needed lube
Ticking complaint was caused by injectors, as most people say.
Rough idle & CEL could not be reproduced and all tests showed nothing to worry about, so, i suppose i will keep an eye on that.
And, regarding condensation in Drivers tail light, they have ordered a new light, 3 weeks from Japan to here for replacement.

All in all, very happy with the service from chatswood toyota service department

No real mods yet, definately planning though.

only thing done so far is a HKS air filter & sharkfin,

Mod plans-
  • Work CR Kiwami's (White) 18x7.5 or 8.5 (not sure yet, wont be doing coilovers so i want to know if lowering an inch will be ok with the 8.5 width)
  • Cat back Exhaust (Perrin or HKS)
  • Lowering springs (Eibach or Tien)
  • Front Strut & underbrace kit
  • Ecutek racerom tune (want this, but say goodbye to warranty so im a little apprehensive)
  • & if i go ECU tune, ill go headers & front pipe.
So it'll be a white on white 86, maybe get the 5axis rear spoiler too.
After seeing a few 86's panda'd, i didnt like how it hid the lines of the car, if i was going to do any wrapping it would be bright yellow. but for the mean time, i still like white

I'll be taking my time with these mods, unless i get a fat christmas bonus haha.
