Did I mention i enjoy driving my FRS? However..., there's a red Hyundai Genesis Coupe, black Scion tC, BMW 3 series, and some others that parks next to me whenever I park my car at work. I am tempted to park at the very far end of the lot, just to spice things up. |

I park my car at a private lot at work and the back side where no one can do stuff to it. But driving it to work and going from work to home, people in the highway just stare at it. I've always gotten bikers (crotch rocket drivers) giving me thumbs up and just following me. The car just gets too much attention, theres not a lot on the streets.

I was taking my better half for some dinner and we passed a Ford dealership. A courtesy shuttle was attempting to get out of the lot and I stopped to let him out since it was a busy street. He pulls out, then changed lanes and slowed down besides me and asked if my vehicle was the new Scion. I grinned as wide as I could and yelled back 'YES, I LOVE IT!!!" He nodded agreeably and gave me the thumbs up. |

lol, well you have to see this coming. Nearly every auto outlet/magazine what have you is praising this car like the next coming of Jesus.
So, naturally, when people with similar cars that didn't get as much publication attention back then sees THE twins that everyone has been talking about, they get a little rustled. They used to have some of the collective spotlight--those Mustangs, Zs, GCs--but now here come the twins and steal the thunder everywhere. And to add that the twins are technically/numbers inferior, yeah, they go "pffft, so that's the new Scion? Pfft, I can take it. It's all hype, pfft. BS. Scion, pfffft. How could they like that tiny 200hp? Pfft. Everyone knows 300hp/3000lbs is better... everyone.... PFFT". Denial, is what it is. Sadly this is all because a large number of auto "enthusiasts" are into the scene just for the sake of showing off. If they were true enthusiasts, they would understand the appeal, even if it isn't their taste.
