My driver side just started to squeak today at all the way at the top about 2".
What's weird is, I thought it would slowly start to squeak, but it just started all of a sudden.

I too, only noticed this when the windows are wet.

Going to try cleaning the window on both sides as well as the rubber.

My driver's side window is a little squeaky when it hits the seal.

I don't really mind it.

No squeaks yet, but I am trying to preserve the rubber seal as much as I can. Reason for this is because seal between the window and the rubber is extremely thin. I can't imagine rubber material being more than 1/32" thick at that specific area, considering the amount of contact that area is exposed to, I am a little worried about the longevity there...

Currently using 303 Protectant on the rubber seals, so far so good (8 days haha)

this is the area I am concerned about.

My driver side window made some noise twice this week and I'm not happy with that.

Mine has been doing this on and off too. Scares the crap out of me every time (like this morning). It's so loud! I'm hoping it'll go away with time. :/

Mine did this when my car was slightly dirty. After cleaning it, I opened the passenger side door and wiped the top of the window to remove any residue. Also did a quick wipe of the rubber part with distilled water. Doesn't squeak anymore.

My passenger window started squeaking today at 4000 miles. I didn't mind when my 8 year old WRX started doing this but a brand new car? Pretty unacceptable to me, I'll definitely be bringing it to the dealer for this if it keeps it up.

Quote:
I noticed squeaking on my passenger window a few days ago. The squeaking only lasted the final 2 or 3 inches until it was fully down. Rolling the window back up I had the same results; squeaked for the first couple of inches, then went silent.
Mine does exactly this

I oiled the top and it didnt seem to resolve the problem so I took it to the dealer service center today. They oiled the sides and that didnt help and told me they'd need to keep my car for a day just to fix a squeaky window!

I told them I'll bring it back tomorrow so I can arrange alternative transport to work. Right before I left the passenger side window started to squeak aswell.

After a short 20 minute drive, I get to work and both windows are NOT squeaking. I'm pretty sure this problem is going to come back. Is this happening to anyone else?

Any ideas on how to sort this out? I dont want to leave my car for a day if its a simple fix, especially since the problem comes and goes.
Exact same issue. Let me know how you fix it!
