Front fender mis-aligned...

I've noticed just recently that my front right fender (RHD, driver's side) appears misaligned and doesn't sit flush with the door panel. Is it possible to adjust (either the door or fender) so that they're flush? If so, how do you do it?

Note: they were fine when I collected the car ~8 months ago because I remember inspecting all the panels for dents/scratches. Car has not been involved in any accidents since.

Would you recommend taking to the dealer and let them (attempt) to fix it, or just take it to a body/panel shop? The dealer would likely fix it under warranty, whereas taking it to a body shop would mean out of pocket expenses.

Dealership. If you try to modify it and leave traces that you did, your warranty goes out the window.

That's what happens on these cars when someone pulls up or outwards on the wheel arch. Maybe someone lifted up trying to get a jack or something to fit underneath? You can literally push and pull these fenders all over the place as far as alignment goes without touching a bolt

Thanks guys. But is it possible to adjust the fenders? I'm tempted to just push it back in, but afraid I might do more damage lol.

By the way are the fenders aluminium?

Steel. Only aluminum body panel is the hood

Dealership screwed mine up when their lift arms made contact with the rockers. Buckled both fenders like yours and bent the rockers in the rear quarters.

This has happened to a few people. Including myself. Just push on it a little and it pops back in place. At least that's what we've done. It's been fine since.

LoL...I just did that and now it's perfectly flush. Couldn't believe how easy it moved back in

Front fender mis-aligned...

Thread Necro but it's worth it.
My fender has been sitting almost 1/4" inset from the door since I bought the car in spring 2016. I never tried fixing it cause on my other cars (German) panel alignment is an ordeal.

I just gently pulled on the fender trailing edge with the door open, and voila, it's flush
I still can't believe it
