I wouldn't in this car. My first experiences on the track were drag racing, but coming from much faster cars I can't see myself enjoying it with the twins. Much more fun in the corners for me.

Taking this car to the strip is like going golfing with nothing but a putter. Why bother unless you are doing some base-lining for future mods.

For a complete new-guy to autosports, this car begs to be taken to a slalom. You will have fun and the organizers tend to be very new-guy friendly.

The other bonus for a slalom is that the participants will admire your ride while the strip crew will make fun of you.

1/4 is generally pretty boring for me and also a 250km drive. Fastest I have ever gone in a car I own was 13.3@109MPH spinning half way down the track.

My fastest was 11.97 @ 118 mph in my BMW 135i.

I've never been on an actual road course, so I guess I can't compare the two, honestly. I don't find 1/4 racing boring for what its worth.

Mine was in my 135i as well. Stupid car couldn't put down power even with 255 wide Direzza Z1s on the rear. Should have been capable of high 12s easily with just a tune.

I had the steptronic, launching in 2nd made it pretty easy. Don't get me wrong, I usually ran 12-12.4, but I guess the stars aligned for that pass lol

Wow Caterham... crazy. Yea my N54 135i was FBO... JB4G5, Meth, DCI, Catless DPs, Berk AxelBack, carbon fiber hood, on some lightweight ARC 18s with PSSs. I loved it.

I love the FRS more though, not sure why.

I'm sort of a 1/4 mile fan, growing up around drag racing. But once I got to Socal (Iowa transplant), I've discovered both left and right corners. Palomar Mountain is in my backyard. 1/4 mile is fun, but hard on parts, the shock loading on these things would worry me especially with their tendency to break half shafts.

Mine was wheels and tires and GIAC Stage 1 tune only. My moms is just 255 PSS with COBB tune only.

My dad thinks his Caterham R400 needs a blower next year

Love the Caterhams, foot box is too small for my #12 feet though. One of my favorite cars.
