Can anyone tell me how far down those NACA duct vents go into the engine bay? Just the actual part of the hood, not the hose. I'm wondering if it'll fit with the WORKS turbo kit because the turbo sits in between the intake manifold and the battery which looks to be right where the passenger side duct sits. Also, would that be fine that the vent opens right onto the turbo? I know you can have issues if water drips onto a hot turbo, would I need to make some kind of rainguard or seal it off when raining?

Do you think it would be possible to trim the duct back if needed? It might make it hard or impossible to get a hose on there but is there enough material to trim away some? I still need to check what the clearance of the turbo is, so it may be a non-issue.

i'd say yes; there's a lot of material there. But if you haven't ordered the hood, why not just let Joel at MPH know to make the part that sticks down on the passenger side duct shorter? That way you don't have to trim it yourself. You're most likely not going to attach a hose/tube to it since your turbo is right there.

Are there any clearance issues with the main vent and a SBD turbo kit?
This looks like by far the best vented hood for the 86 IMO both in function and form.

I'm still wondering if this hood will clear the Full Blown Motorsports turbo kit where the turbo sits by the front vent.

Same concern here with the SBD kit. I really hope this hood clears the turbo cuz it looks amazing. Might have to reach out to them directly once I have the money to buy it. For us turbo 86’s a hood like this is a godsend, there’s a ton of heat under my hood. I’d rather not go Seibon :/

He's super responsive and is always very detailed. Thanks to his awesome transparency and communication I'm very heavily leaning toward ordering from him when I'm ready for a CF hood.

He's awesome. Willing to listen to my insane babble too. And willing to point out stuff in his social media for you, like the different types of carbon. I'm tempted to spend all my money, and beg him to make a carbon fiber seat and dash so I can spend more.
