I used to ask, but then I get this big guy on this forum that gives me a FFS or SMH and tells me to google it.

About as bad as this other fellow here that posts strange cryptic symbols (a black box with a white X in it). When I ask how to "see" it, he refers me to some internet site that tries to sell me some chrome plated program.

The short answer is yes, as a last resort with some keyboards but you have to follow some rules:
  • The keyboard can't have any type of advanced features like LCD displays, etc.
  • Use only the top rack.
  • Don't wash anything else with the keyboard
  • Don't use anything but water, no detergent and make sure there is no Jet-Dry or other items in the dishwasher.
  • Make sure to air-dry the keyboard (no dishwasher heat) and that it is fully dry before using again.
  • If you can adjust the temperature on your dishwasher use at most a medium heat.

I've washed a few old school IBM keyboards this way with no issue. Newer ones are cheap enough I haven't done it in quite some time.

Most electronics without displays can be immersed in water as long as they aren't powered up at the time and you COMPLETELY dry it before powering it up.

Had the perfect opportunity to total my car today, and bitched out of doing it.

I was heading south on a 4 lane road, someone was waiting to turn left to head north on the road. I'm in the left lane, the person is clearly not looking north, only to the south, because they're already blocking the right lane waiting to make their turn. A gap kind of opens for them, so instead of filling the gap, they decide to make their turn and us my lane to get up to speed. The person finally noticed me as I came to a nearly complete stop and swerved into the right hand lane to miss them. Holy smokes was that ever scary.

I'd like to say I wouldn't buy an 86 again, but after seeing that new grey/blue colour, I could be swayed to get another if the deal was good enough. I'd proabably get either a WRX or a big, RWD/AWD sedan.

Other option is I don't buy another car, and just use my work truck as a daily. Could save crazy cash by doing that.

I always wonder bout that... if I total my car, would I buy another 86/BRZ or go something else. My wife has WRX ('17) and I drive that around once a while, but I don't really care for it (specially the seating position)... also not a fan of sedans either. Coupes are very limited, so I wasn't sure. What other thinks.
