Injen SRI oft maf rescaling

Im running a Injen SRI on my stock 2017 brz, i will be getting the oft soon and was told the maf had to be rescalled in the oft tune. If I do not rescale, will I harm my car? Any help on rescaling is much appreciated. Thanks!

Did you rescale the maf when you installed the intake in the first place?

I did not.... o.0 I just put it on there and thats it. It is a "tuned" Injen SRI, so im not sure if that makes a difference. The car has been running fine and havent noticed any issues at all. Ive been running this intake for a good 5 months now.

You should log LTFT before you flash the tune to your car just to be safe. If you are seeing greater than +-10% on average, then you are going to have to worry about maf scaling.

Even with +/-10% it won't really harm it. You may see an IAM drop and driveability will suffer. The only way to know is to log it. Every car is a little different. Even with known Perrin CAI maf scaling I had to change it quite a bit for my car. Just got to the software forum and look at the facts and DIY's.

For some reason I am remembering hearing that trim limits were reduced in the v4 tunes which OP would be running. But I haven't looked at the tables yet myself.

For the OP, if you want to look at what is involved, here's where to start:

I haven't really looked at them too much either. I got kind of annoyed(lazy) when the v4 came out with a different set of deffs and haven't ported my tune over to match one so I can't compare since my current setup is based off of 2.7something.
