OFT Tune before autocross.

I am getting my tablet tomorrow. I am autocrossing on saturday. I've read about the dead pedal feeling and maybe even running a little sluggish till the ECU has time to adjust. I'm going to Stage 2+, should I just wait till after autocross?

No. Flash it, drive for 10 min, shut it off, start it back up. Done

Agreed.

You might still have a slight dead pedal effect by the time you race, but you're probably better off with the tune that racing in the higher class without it. Plus the heightened input conditions might help the ECU learn faster.

This

because of the special conditions in auto-x itll actually learn more sensitivity in the throttle and piick up off idle better

and this might be stockholm syndrome but I always felt I had better midrange after a good event

Flash tune, turn car to on position (but don't start) wait 20 seconds, press pedal 0%-100%-0% 20 times each press should be smooth and consistent roughly 1 second to full press and 1 second to depress 2 seconds total. After 20 times turn car off wait 20 seconds. Then Repeat all steps one more time this time after 20 presses start car, let idle for at least 2 minutes then enjoy. Should drastically improve and speed up learning
