Holy smokes, 400k. Would be interesting to see what the internals & cylinder walls look like. I'm going to *try* to keep mine going to that number, we'll see Next todo is brakes - think my master cylinder is worn out, brakes are soft unless I pump them once. |

I have a buddy that has I want to say a 2000? Might be a couple years older though, with 240k+ miles on it and he absolutely loves the freaking thing.

Yeah the 3rd gen ran from 1996 - 2002 (I think), I'm having fun with mine so far. It has its downsides for sure but there's just a fun factor about it, can't put my finger on it. We'll see if it fades after I get past the 'new toy' phase.

Do a full flush and bleed. New fluid at the right pressure ought to make a difference and give you a baseline so you can see if it is in fact the master cylinder or something less significant in the system like a wheel cylinder.

Yeah already did that, and have a new MC in hand to install when I get some time. If that doesn't do it I'll just start working my way back. Lines are ok, no leaks, not losing fluid, etc. So hoping it's just the MC is letting fluid bypass. If it hasn't been replaced before, it's probably due at 22 years old.
