How does the 2017+ revised engine perform under the stress of an E85 tune on the stock pulley C30? Has anyone blown a 2017 motor yet? I understand that the rods were not revised in this iteration of the design, but I'm still curious to hear what knowledge people have on the subject.

I'm likely going to be installing a flex fuel kit and a new pump/injectors as well and it seems that some people have had trouble with the DW pumps, so I plan on staying away from them. Is the Walbro pump coupled with 660cc FIC injectors a more suitable approach in terms of avoiding pump/injector reliability issues? Is a new pump 100% necessary with this size injector on ethanol blends?
No issues with a safe tune.

Stay away from the DW 65C. DW 300C is totally fine (and is what I use).

PM for the FF setup.

My belt shifted again, any particular reason this happens? What do you mean by conditioner?

What type of belt do you have? Are you doing hard launches or downshifts? How is the tension on the belt? Is it tight enough? If you push on the belt in an open area, how far does it move?

I bought my SC used, the previous owner said it had 5k miles on it so I'm assuming he's telling the truth and it's the original belt. I've put 5k miles on it so assume 10k total. No hard launches, I do downshift but not at high RPMs unless I'm at the track.

Also, as my friend's fiance put it: "damn guy, you downshifted while I was putting on mascara and I didn't feel a thing". I may not be the fastest guy on track, but my heel-toe is good. However, if the downshifts are causing it I can stop doing it.

The belt is tight, there is minor movement on the alternator side and a bit more movement on the AC\water pump side considering the distance of the pulleys.

The belt doesn't look bad to me, but you guys may have a different opinion. It's fine at the top:

And it shifts here, at the bottom on the fluid dampr and the water pump pulley it's shifted 1 rib.

Should I get a new belt? What else can be causing it?

Is your belt on backwards or is it just me?

Edit: It is ribbed on both sides, right? It is hard to tell.

I'm going to say yes, the Perrin pulleys have been on for over 3 years and haven't had an issue. The fluid dampr was installed by the guy that did my crap tune, I just checked it and there is no play on it. When I tried to tighten the bolt the ratchet didn't move.

The noise only started this week, not sure if it shifted before that. Next time I drive it I won't do the regular downshifting and see what happens. Just did some free revs in the garage and it's still in place.

I don’t know what belt comes with the JRSC kit, but maybe make sure that belt is correct. It could be a longer one that had been replaced. I like the Gatorback style belts. They can twist to accommodate alignment irregularities. These belts come in the Harrop and Edelbrock kits. I had belt squeal on an aftermarket replacement until I got this style back on the car.

Thanks, I'll keep this in mind. I had to order NTP adapters from JR so I ordered a new belt as well, will see how that one works out for now.

JRSC comes with Gates DK060791.

You need double sided belt I wouldn't use that one sided Goodyear belt in the picture.
