OK, So Project 7 is complete and passed state inspection last Thursday!

Back to Project 6 that got pulled out of storage last Sunday...

Project 6: - Update 2:
Finally getting this one underway, moved it to my garage last Saturday, washed it, removed all the damaged parts and got to repairing and modding this one for track duty. Pics added

Replaced broken engine fuse box case


Replacing belt tensioner and an idler that took a hit



Replaced radiator supports and upper core support


Installed repaired seat belts, installed reset airbag module and removed aftermarket stereo wiring, put most of interior back together


Installed Jackson Racing radiator/oil cooler combo along with new A/C Condensor and new fan shroud




Installed headlights, bumper beam and radiator air ducting




Installed fenders and hood to align everything! Hood will have to get painted...



Have new A/C hose on order as well as a MAF and a few other minor parts to complete the assembly, also need to get the hood and front bumper to the paint shop. Will get to installing the Essex Sprint AP Racing Front brakes, the Racecomp Engineering Tarmac II coil overs and the JDL header, over-pipe and front pipe sometime this week hopefully!

Bumper & hood dropped off at body shop yesterday, hope to have back on Saturday for final assembly and track prep including: Fluid changes (oil, transmission, differential and brake), Racecomp Engineering Tarmac II Coilover install, JDL Header, Over pipe and Front pipe install, Essex Sprint AP Racing Front Brake kit install and more!

Project 6 - Update 3:

So spent Friday night and a couple hours today finishing this one up. Sorry for the lack of pictures, but Dave-Ror should be adding a few shortly, we wanted to get this one done and admittedly took very few pictures.

Last night installed a JDL Header, Over-pipe and front pipe. Today installed a set of Racecomp Engineering RCE Tarmac 2 Clubsport Coilovers W/ OE MOUNTS and an Essex Designed AP Racing Competition Sprint Brake Kit with Ferrodo pads with AP Racing Radi-CAL R2 brake fluid and Spiegler Stainless Steel Brake Lines.

We then installed the freshly painted hood and front bumper, threw on a set of Motegi 17x8 wheels I had sitting around that cleared the brakes and took in out for a shakedown! This will be a very fun and capable track car for our friend!

Project #3 (my silver 2015) might be up for sale in a few months when this latest one is done.

Decided to go a bit more hard core so this new one won't be made legal for street use which should save a couple grand that I can put into speed parts instead.

Since Dave-RoR was out of state...I met the driver to deliver this...

Probably the best purchase yet.
2013 Scion FR-S, 6MT, 27,900 Miles, stock except for a TRD cat-back
Damage was listed as mechanical (primary) and hail (secondary), this thing literally has no body damage except for 3 small dings in the hood, the engine has the intake manifold removed (it's in the passenger seat) and the A/C compressor is missing, also found some cut wires going to the fuel pump. The interior is complete, all airbags are intact.

Interested to see what is wrong with the engine...

My theory is that the dealer that did the valve spring recall less than 200 miles ago did something wrong and grenaded the motor then the car was likely totaled by their garage liability insurance.

Car is out of Nebraska if anyone knows the real backstory.

Project 7 - Sold!

Project 8 - Dave-Ror picked up a used engine for it...and is searching out upgrades to install along with the engine. Headers & full exhaust, upgraded clutch, etc.

New spark plugs & updated engine harness purchased, it will be helpful installing the 2015 engine into this 2013 and retaining the updated coil packs. Also, since the purchased motor is out of an A/T car we will need to transfer/remove a couple of parts; vacuum pump, water crossover pipe, etc.

Anybody got an A/C delete pulley for sale?

Started on the replacement motor today...
Installed updated Subaru engine harness to retain the 2015 coil packs and benefit from the improved shielding and grounding.




Removed the AT parts; vacuum pump & oil line, transmission cooler lines, etc.




Installed new spark plugs and got it ready to hopefully drop in the red FR-S next weekend to get it running.
