Not sure of his screen name on here. He is a local guy here in kitchener, Ontario, Canada... I'll run into him soon enough.

I can vouch for the ESC as well. I have one -- not hungry for huge power so it was perfect for me. Love that thing to death, especially for the price point. Something to definitely consider, takes me about 15-20mins to get it removed for a dealership visit -- and I might be one of the slower ones!

Yeah I'm looking more into esc. Might be the smart way to go... Especially for the price

Hope in line buddy! ESC with exhaust and E85 will get you around 220 - 240hps if I remember correctly.

This is what I will be getting for my car a since I don't want gobs of power and need reliability to stay as good as it can with this car. Daily driver with over 10k miles in under 6months. Just sucks to downshift to 5th or even 4th when passing people

You'll still downshift, it'll just be faster when you do. The reason being that it is hard to let yourself stay out of the high torque zone on ESC. You always just want to go the fastest you can. If that makes sense.

Also, I'm on E85, catless OFH UEL, Q300, ESC. I would say that power range is spot on.

The only downside I have seen from the ESC so far is that boost tapers off at high RPM rather than growing like a traditional charger. This is actually really nice in many ways, but is something to consider if your goal is track use with a lot of high-RPM driving.

I still take mine to AutoX and the track and love it with the ESC, but it won't pull as hard up top as any other traditional boost.

That said, I'd still pick the ESC over boost for my individual needs and the price point/removability.

Anyway, ya'll can go back to blown motor conversation now

Initially I thought he meant a Pro Charger..

Did a quick google search and came up with this.

Mines still just my dailer driver and probs will be for another year so tapering at the high end is not a bad thing when you have 3 speeding tickets on your record

They are working on a newer larger ESC which will provide better boost at the high end and it has limited tapering effect. Plus you don't have to worry as much about the subject of this post

Has someone blown their engine or done some serious damage using an ESC? or is this trolling? I know everything can "pop" but have they as of yet on this platform?
