Now they just need to two the remaining 2 door trim pieces, and make a set for around $600 and I'm in.

Question: I got an email saying that my order is "in production". How long does your production process take? Basically what is the leadtime from order to ship? I couldn't find any info on your website, or here.

Thanks! And I can't wait to get my gauge hood

Hey Alex... awesome DIY!!!
I don't think most of us realized how easy this would be!

I'll definitely be ordering one soon... have you figured out if you'll offer a leather version yet?

Thanks

@deucethemoose Excellent question. Alcantara is an absolutely incredible synthetic fabric that is designed specifically for the automotive environment meaning it is durable, stain resistant and UV resistant. For more information on genuine Alcantara, please visit our website at http://www.jpmcoachworks.com/jpm/what-is-alcantara.html.

Alex,

If you do get a group buy going, count me in! I'm committed to getting the gauge hood and knee pads at this point, just waiting to find out what the deal would be and see what else I can get!

(I recently picked up a set of JDM kneepads, but the alcantara ones look way better!)

@Burrcold Each order is made-to-order or if there is ever a free chance, we produce a small batch for inventory. This is rare however Good news though, I just completed the gauge cluster hood for your order not too long ago.

@Gir I had originally created two completely separate handbrake products, the first for left-hand drive countries and the second for right-hand drive. Ultimately, I canned the idea and created one with the option to select either option. I had concluded that this would be easier for the guest browsing the catalog. Perhaps I am mistaken?

@WolfSongX No, not quite yet. Genuine leather may prove to be a problem in this area as true leather requires conditioning in areas that are exposed to high UV. We foresee problems down the road if we use any of our leathers for this area. We're testing simulated leathers at the moment (not to be confused with "vinyl").
