I haven't gotten stuck, knock on wood, but I have dipped my front end into water and it was rather interesting...

I got stuck on my driveway this morning. Then again, once I got out of my driveway and onto my street, which wasn't cleared of the slush yet.

April 3rd 2016 was worse than this past weekend. Sideways from Toronto to Brampton, then sideways from Brampton to Cambridge, where I got stuck in an intersection at 2:30am and was kindly towed into the nearest parking lot by a solid dude in an F-150, who then drove me the last 5km home.
I drove home from the airport on Saturday night of this past weekend and it was a cakewalk.
Both times though, I'd clearly taken my snows off a week or two too early.

As soon as those good winter tires hit the ice on my driveway I started to slide down the massive 5 degree slope. There was nothing I could do to stop it and it slide into the middle of the road. The moral of the story is that sometimes even good winter tires are not enough and the car should stay parked.

My gf took her winters off last Tuesday against my advice, then spent yesterday morning at my house because she couldn't leave my driveway because my street wasn't plowed! (She drives a GTI)
