Very quick edit, sorry for the driving You lose some audio and video quality from YouTube, but that gives you an idea of the sound

Nice sounds, but handling wise looks to be closer to Forza/Grand Turismo than say something like GTR2/iRacing. Of course its hard to tell from videos what it actually handles like...

Try it. Physics are really hard to see with a video. I play a lot of GT6, I have been since the 2nd game. It's not the same at all. GT6 will forgive you a lot more than this game.

I can second what @Mad1723 said, it is a true and proper racing sim game.

The part where he has to spend another several hundred dollars on a wheel/pedal set that takes up more storage space is probably more relevant than the multiplayer experience.

You don't need a wheel/pedal set for Forza. You can use one, but the game is very finely tuned for controllers as well. I stuck with the wheel and pedals for several months before giving in and picking up a controller instead. Instantly cut seconds off of all of my best laps.

I tend to disagree with that. While Forza is by FAR the easiest to play on a controller, if you're using it as a practice tool, a controller is never adequate. You need the handling of a wheel and pedals for any of it to really affect your real driving.

Why would you use Forza as a practice tool when there are far better options for PC?

The original argument is that he doesn't play Forza because they don't support the steering wheel setup he has, so my point is, regardless of whether the intent behind playing the game is, serious or casual, he likes to use a steering wheel that cost him quite a bit for any racing game he plays, so playing with a controller isn't worth it for him. He played the previous Forza with a wheel and now can't use it with the newer installment. I agree with that sentiment and it is why I don't play Forza.

Ok, I gotcha now. Lost the concept of the original post. Well, the Fanatec stuff he has will work with a PC, so there's always that if he wants something truly awesome. And honestly it's not Turn 10's fault that the Fanatec wheels aren't supported. MS changed their proprietary wifi stack for communication between the system and the controller, so yeah, none of the old stuff works. Sucks, but that's how it goes. At least the PS3 stuff works on the PS4, even if you may be missing something because no share/options buttons or touchpad.

Yeah, aside from the G27, I would be very careful when purchasing a steering wheel setup, it seems compatibility is a huge issue amongst racing games/sims.

Anybody want to buy my G27? I don't see myself using it much in the future. I will just stick with my XBone/Forza and crappy controller.
