Wouldn't the OEM have lower color temp than others? Because I'm planning to get Sylvania silverstar ultra ZXE. And I wonder how much of a diff it would make.

It's much closer to a 5000k color temp. It's definitely a whiter lite than stock, but less bold than HID's, if that makes sense?? They'll still have the yellow look with the DRL's however so keep that in mind before you swap out the high beams.

Got ya. I'm only swapping the low and fogs as I never use high. So basically OEM is 4300k while those Phillips crystal vision and Sylvania silver star ZXE are about 5000k right?

That's the sylvania is ZXE's... It's the white light you're seeking, just not as bold as HID's.. Unless you're wanting to stick with the stock lighting, I'd go HID's. You can find some solid kits for just a few dollars more.

I went with it purely on a cosmetic basis, I literally had 150 miles on the car when I swapped the OEM. There is no noticeable difference for what I'm used from any of your standard Toyota halogens. It's brighter, but I can't really comment on distance. The color is definitely a big difference between OEM.

The factory bulbs are 4300k. One of the main benefits of upgrading to HIDs is you get 3 times more usable light and plus you get the choice of keeping the factory colour if you wish, that is, install a 4300k HID kit so that you are maximizing your visibility at night. We sell alot of the 6000k HID kits because it serves as a cosmetic modification while significantly improving visibility compared to the factory light bulbs. Talk about function and form

Even the H11 halogen can produce 4300k? It looks pretty yellow...
I'm just afraid hid will blind on fogs reflector. And bad cut off with halogen projector. |
